🧑‍🎓👨‍🎓 For the students of the 2022/2023 intake

The second Graduation Session of IMAPP has held at the Department of Physics and Astronomy “Augusto Righi” of the University of Bologna on September 30, 2024.

Maxime Barthoux, Alberto Bellavista, Caroline Bonk, Nicolas Cartalade, Giulia Fazzino, Simon Jeannot, Joel Mainusch, Lorenzo Nisi and Lorenzo Valla discussed their thesis prepared during the internship in the fourth semester and obtained their master’s degree in Advanced methods in Particle Physics.

The Graduation Committee was composed of professors Kevin Kröninger (TU Dortmund University), Stephane Monteil (University of Clermont-Auvergne), Angelo Carbone (University of Bologna).

The titles of their theses were:

  • Maxime Barthoux
“Study of EFT operators in the top quark sector with ATLAS, based on their CP properties“
  • Alberto Bellavista
“Study of the simulations of the readout for the future LHCb Electromagnetic Calorimeter
    and characterization of photomultipliers“
  • Caroline Bonk
“Diamond RnD for Fast Diamond Readout”
  • Nicolas Cartalade
“Search for new particles decaying to a pair of Higgs bosons with the ATLAS experiment“
  • Giulia Fazzino
“Suppressing pile-up contributions in the formation of topological clusters in ATLAS”
  • Simon Jeannot
“The CONTUR tool and long-lived particles“
  • Joel Mainusch
“Analysis of B0s → μ+μ− Decays as a Tool for LHCb – Run 3 Data Validation”
