2nd Academic year of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master IMAPP begins
The Welcome Day was held on September 2nd, 2024 at Clermont-Ferrand.
Professors Jean Orloff and Stephane Monteil from the Université Clermont Auvergne, professors Angelo Carbone and Maximiliano Sioli – remotely – from the University of Bologna and Prof. Kevin Kröninger from Technische Universität Dortmund welcomed the new IMAPP students for the beginning of the fourth edition of the master.
This is the second edition of the master under the Erasmus Mundus label. The total number of students in this 2024/2025 intake is 28 – 18 of them were able to enrol in the course thanks to Erasmus Mundus scholarships.
They come from 18 different countries: Costa Rica, Spain, Nederlands, Germany, Russia, Italy, Egypt, Yemen, Turkey, Pakistan, Thailand, Ethiopia, Lebanon, Albania, Nepal, Syria, Nigeria, Bangladesh.
The Welcome Day was held on the morning of September 2nd at the École Universitaire de Physique et d’Ingénierie, where students will attend the first of four semesters as provided by the study programme.
In the afternoon, students were given an overview of what will await them in each of the three semesters.
The following day, the lessons started with the lecture of “Quantum Field Theory” held by Prof. Vincent Morenas.
