Did IMAPP help you to grow professionally/personally?
Yes. The IMAPP master definitely helped me grow both professionally and personally. Living in different countries allowed me to discover new cultures, learn new languages, and adapt to various ways of teaching physics. Academically, I progressed from studying the Standard Model and particle interactions in Clermont to exploring Beyond the Standard Model physics in Bologna, while also gaining solid knowledge in detector physics in Dortmund, as well as simulation and analysis tools such as ROOT. I also acquired valuable data‑science skills through courses in machine learning and advanced statistics. All these skills and experiences are, in my opinion, directly useful during a PhD, both for daily research work and for understanding the broader context of participating in a large-scale particle physics experiment. On a personal level, the IMAPP master also helped me become more independent, while knowing that I could always count on my IMAPP classmates, who became true friends throughout this two‑year journey 🙂
